SPS Trekking Club
Established in 1991, the club had its successful first expedition from 16th to 22nd August 1991 to the Kachi Kani Pass, 4,950m above sea level. After that first successful expedition the club never looked back, and the Annual Trekking Expedition has become a much-awaited activity for its members.
So far, 37 expeditions have been completed — some years running twice. SPS Trekking Club is a well-organized and disciplined club providing the best facilities of trekking and mountaineering in the region.
Maker Fair
SPS arranged a grand event where almost 700 students from different campuses showcased their innovative and creative projects based on STEM and the SDGs. Students built projects from recycled materials, Arduino coding chips, and 3D printers.
The Maker Fair provided a platform to collaborate and communicate in front of an audience of parents and teachers, while opening a world of exploration.
SDGs Contest
SPS believes the 17 SDGs established by the United Nations in 2015 are pivotal to fostering global peace and prosperity. Students remain actively engaged in promoting these goals through projects and models, sharpening their 21st-century skills — Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication.
SPS arranged an inter-schools competition in December 2023 with almost 40 prize winners. The grand ceremony was held at Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, with Mr. Kenneth Holland from the University of Utah, USA, as chief guest.
